The History of the Oscar Juicer
Invented in Korea by Mr Kim, the Oscar juicer was the original single gear juicer. Compact, easy to clean, very efficient and creating a fibre free juice, the Oscar was a significant evolution from the expensive, large and messy processors available.
When introduced some 10 years ago to Australia by Vitality 4 Life, the Oscar juicer represented a huge leap forward in making an enzyme rich living juice accessible to more people.
Several companies copied the early Oscar design and these machines have flooded the International market place. Some of these brands have falsely claimed to be the new model Oscar or Oscar’s new name and many customers have purchased these brands believing they were buying an Oscar.
These brands are much more profitable because they are less expensive to manufacture. They use cheaper components or engineering methods that both Oscar and Vitality 4 life find unacceptable.
Did you buy the juicer with the most profit or the juicer with the most value?

After having purchased a cheaper single gear juicer, and watching as I threw away endless amounts of wet pulp with little juice in return, I purchased the Oscar Vital Max 900.

I have recently purchased Oscar 900. Very pleased but little concerned re BPA. and Phthalates in plastics. Your site claims that no parts contain these but the ‘feel’ is of polycarbonate, BPA’s being the building block material. Which plastic is used?

The plastic used is food grade polycarbonate. There is more than one type of polycarbonate out there and a common misconception is that all polycarbonate contains BPA. The Oscar parts contain no BPA or toxic chemicals of any kind.
Yes I am in process of buying a non centrifugal juicer, because of price was considering the compact juicer but am concerned of BPA components, and saw your confirmation that oscar does not contaiin such ,,I am very concerned for health reason ,and ask that you confirm this for me and where I can obtain the oscar in Western Australia

The Oscar Juicer is definatley compatiable with the 220 Volt Electrical System.
The Oscar is 220-240 Volts so whilst different country plugs are avaliable in checkout, a transformer may be required for specific countries depending on the voltage.
Can the Oscar 900 be used to mill wheat grain?

Whilst the Oscar can mince a wide variety of produce and also create wonderful dips, desserts and treats, unfortunatley the Oscar does not mill wheat grain.

Do you have stockist in melbourne? Does the Lexcen at A$249 contain any BPA? How can the Lexcen be used to extract soy milk? What about the soymilk maker that cost A$179, I like it that it can be used for milling. I am also considering the other one that cost A$199 or A$249 with tofu kit. Which one is better in terms of durability. I used to use the china made one and it broke 2 times within one year.

Yes, the Lexen Juicer will make Soy Milk with soaked soy beans. The Soy Love Soymilk Makers do not require the soy beans to be soaked prior to making the soy milk. The Soy Love Classic that come with the tofu kit is made in South Korea and is of exceptional manufacturing quality meaning it is more durable than its competitors. I have had an Oscar for about 6 years now, fantastic machine.
To speed up chopping veges to feed the juicer, especially things like carrots, I use a V slicer with the french fries cutter - quick and the juicer eats them very easily.

Hi Rick,
The Oscar 900 has a much better front-end. The auger (screw) and juicing strainer is made of a much more durable material, this is evident in our longer warranty for the Oscar 900 - 5 years on parts and 20 years on motor. The design of the Oscar yeilds more juice than the Matstone - the pulp is dry! Also the Oscar’s unique design ensures that nutrients and enzymes are kept alive for 48 hours after juicing, as opposed to the Matsone which is only 24 hour shelf-life.
The Oscar Vital Max is the Oscar 900, 900 is the model number. So there are no differences!

I have seen an omega 8005 juicer overseas which looks to be the same as the oscar 900. however I have also seen a omega 8006 which seemed to look like there was a harder material used for the auger… is there an oscar model that uses the harder material for the auger?
Can the juicer extract oil from nigella sativa seed or need extra accessories. How about over heat issue for long time usage?
