Juice bars are a wonderful way to get a dose of juice on the run. Unfortunately, the consumer has no control over the quality of fruit and vegetable used – has it been washed, is it organic?

And of course, commercial juicers will deliver a fast juice, but the faster the juicer, the more air is sucked in and the more degraded the quality will be. You will have noticed the amount of froth on the top of the glass. The more froth, the more you can be certain that the juice in the glass has been subjected to a whirlwind and therefore oxidization has occurred.

By juicing at home you can save hundreds of dollars a year. For example, you can grow an entire tray of wheatgrass (yielding 10-12 shots) for the same price as you pay for a 30ml shot of wheatgrass juice.
