What is the difference between the Oscar juicers and other juicers on the market?

Firstly, there are significant differences between ‘Living Juicers’ and the conventional centrifugal type of juicers. The centrifugal juicers spin at very high speeds; between 2000 and 10,000 RPM. They juice in an entirely different way to our juicers. They grate the produce and spin the moisture, the juice, out. Unfortunately, a lot of oxygen is drawn in with this process and so quickly deteriorates the quality of enzymes, nutrients and vitamins.
Oscar juicers employ a cold pressing function, gently crushing and squeezing the produce through a screen which breaks open the cell walls and gently releasing the goodness into juice form. This ‘mortar & pestle’ technique also enables juice to be obtained from leafy produce and wheatgrass. Centrifugal juicers cannot juice leafy produce through the grating process. Oscar juicers are easy to clean and the pulp is ejected out the front of the machine so you can juice continuously. Centrifugal juicers often need to be emptied as you juice.
Oscar single gear juicers are not simply juicers they are complete Living Food processors. Centrifugal juicers simply offer a quick way to get a juice. Oscar juicers can be used as a food processor to make:
- nut butters, nut milks
- frozen fruit ice creams
- pesto, olive tapenade
- salad dressings
- dips
- jam
- noodles and pasta, so much more…
